Baby It's Cold Outside...

It truly couldn't be a more perfect 1st Christmas for Penelope. Today we had snow, and I mean LOADS of snow. I couldn't believe me eyes this morning when it was just pouring down! I was certain it would stop by midday but it didn't stop till later in the evening. I bundled baby girl up and put her in the bumbo so I could take her picture in the snow. Once we got outside she kept gasping as the wind blew on her! It was precious. Needless to say, I couldn't have been a more happier mommy to take my precious baby girl out in her first snow on Christmas Eve. What unforgettable memories we're making...

Sippy Cup and Christmas Preparation

This month, Penelope turns the big 6 months. This marks the age for introducing the sippy cup. While I wasn't going to actually bring it out until the 25th, I decided to do it a little early.
As you can see, she concentrates very hard while holding her sippy cup. She hasn't quite grasped the concept that you must inhale really hard to get it out so I took out the part that allows spill resistance. She's now able to just tip the sippy cup into her mouth and it pours out. She LOVES water. When she sees me getting her sippy cup, she opens her little mouth. It's adorable!
She's also in Christmas mode. I sent her to school in one Christmas outfit today and she'll wear her other Christmas outfit on Thursday. Here are some pics of my little Christmas angel.

Sick Yet Again...

I received a phone call yesterday at work from daycare informing me that Penelope had a fever and she was pulling at her right ear. I made her an appointment for this morning and what do you know...she has another virus. Her virus fighting cells were off the charts. Dr. Cavasos told me while an average child (who doesn't attend daycare) builds their immune system up by getting sick once a month for ten years, a daycare child gets sick THREE TIMES a month therefore building their immune system by the age three. I think I'm going to sign my paycheck over to her doctor. That should cover her copays for the next three years. My poor sick baby...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Brandon hung up the lights on the house today. We went outside this evening around six 'o clock for the lighting extravaganza. This year's Christmas is so exciting with Penelope. We're so blessed to have Penelope in our lives, and we're experiencing Christmas in a new way that is indescribable. It's so captivating to watch her little eyes take in all the holiday spirit. From Christmas lights to the smell of a fresh Christmas tree, this year's Christmas is proving to be an unforgettable one.

RICE CEREAL!!!

We started Penelope on rice cereal a week ago. She's apparently getting VERY comfortable with eating it. Within a couple bites...she was blowing raspberries and cereal was all over her face and in mommy's hair!

Penelope Feels Better!

So baby girl was back to her old self today.I hated seeing her so sick and while it was her first fever, I know it won't be her last. I put her in her jumperoo and she was so happy. It was so good to see her back to her happy bouncing self. Here are some pictures of her back in the bouncing game!
